Process:
Nitrogen generation plant based on the PSA process consist of two adsorbers filled with carbon molecular sleve (CMS). Compressed and purified air is passes through the absorbers. Mainly oxygen is absorbed on the carbon molecular sleve and nitrogen enriched gas is leaving the absorber. The oxygen concentration can be reduced to almost all required levels. During adsorption in one adsorber the second adsorber is totally regenerated just by depressurization to ambient pressure. The oxygen enriched off gas is vented. After about one minute adsorption in one adsorber the process controller is switching over to the second adsorber.

CMS is the crucial element of any PSA plant utilizing the BF-Process. The characterstics of CMS are unique. It is highly resilient towards long term pressure swing usage. Moreover, the excellent auto regenerative characterstic of the sleve leads to many years of high quality nitrogen production. Hence one CMS charge lasts as long as the PSA plant. This makes it a safe long terms investment.

DEOXO Technology Options

Palladium Based Purification System

In this system, a deoxo tower is added after the PSA plant where hydrogen reacts with oxygen, effectively removing oxygen from the nitrogen stream. The moisture formed during this reaction is removed in a downstream gas dryer, resulting in ultra-high purity nitrogen.

Output Gas Composition: 

• Nitrogen: 99.999%
• Oxygen: ppm level
• Hydrogen: 0.5% min. or more if required
• Dew point: -60°C or better

Copper Based Deoxo Purification System 

When both hydrogen and oxygen are undesirable in the final gas stream, our copper deoxo based system provides an excellent solution. This technology effectively eliminates both hydrogen and oxygen, delivering ultra-high purity nitrogen without residual hydrogen.
